Behind the Art

Marie-Pier Guilmain and Maud Beauchamb graduated from the University of Montreal and has extensive experience in interior architecture, object design, graphic design, and illustration. They co-pilot a creative studio, mpgmb and have their creations celebrated on a few canvases, including the Doric series. They discovered a passion for painting as a form of meditation and a way to slow down daily.

Playing with colors and patterns allows them to immortalize color schemes or patterns that speak to them at the time. They value anything that adds lightness and color to their daily life and do not try to convey a message in their paintings. Instead, they paint for joy and are inspired by the objects and colors around them.
