Behind the Art

Sven is a 35-year-old self-taught artist from Belgium who began creating and doodling at the age of 13 as a way to stay quiet in class. Over the years, this practice has evolved into a method for finding peace of mind. With a body and mind that are often hyperactive, drawing provides him with a means to focus, relax, and channel his creativity.

It helps him organize his thoughts or, at times, simply express them on paper. Amid the chaos of his creations, he seeks harmony, occasionally drawing inspiration for more refined, clear works. He is particularly interested in abstract and outsider art, along with everything in between.
